Nitehawk saw one of the largest natural catastrophes in any ski resort’s history, as a landslide disheveled multiple trails and their only chairlift. Thanks to local support and charity campaigns though, this lift will soon have a replacement. EverythingGP reports that construction has begun on a new T-Bar that will reopen some of the more challenging trails on the mountain. The T-Bar will open in January 2022 and will reopen the Showoff and Connector runs.  The runs of Easy Street, Temptation, Home Run, Rollercoaster, Slowpoke, and The Shoot will reopen in future seasons, once the terrain has been fully stabilized, and a new top to bottom lift can be put in. A long-term plan is currently being developed by the resort and could include a new top to bottom chairlift.  Last season, the mountain operated, but they only had minimal terrain available to guests. The mountain is hoping to open on November 20th. You can donate here to help fund future lifts and other improvements.
