Hidden Valley Ski Resort in Alberta may not operate this season.

Located in the Cypress Hills Provincial Park in Southeastern Alberta, the small ski mountain features eight runs and four lifts.  According to Medicine Hat News, the province of Alberta(Alberta Parks), which runs the mountain, is looking for a private contractor. If they don’t find someone to run it, Hidden Valley Ski Resort won’t operate this season. Several parties have expressed interest, including the operators of Castle Mountain Resort. But with the submission date for bids being September 7th, you have to wonder if anyone actually placed a bid. On the mountain, maintenance should have already started by now, so this season is definitely in question. Hidden Valley confirmed on their Facebook page that they are still trying to figure out who will operate the mountain. We will keep you posted to see if this mountain will operate this coming season.
