The Caldor Fire ripped through the Sierras back in August, and Sierra-at-Tahoe was mostly sparred from the devastating blaze.

The resort initially thought that the majority of its buildings, lifts, and facilities had been sparred, but announced yesterday that damage from the fire exceeded their initial estimations.

Sierra-at-Tahoe is “uncertain” how much terrain they’ll be able to open this season, and that’s a major bummer. Here’s to hoping things turn around for the little Tahoe ski resort.

We’re all pulling for them here at Unofficial Networks.
