Really enjoyed this short film by freeskier Felix Wiemers who set a goal of utilizing a Nordstau single weather system to rip his windsurfer in the middle of winter in icy seas north Denmark and then head to the Austrian Alps to harvest it inland bounty. This his unique skiing and windsurf travel story:

“A classic Nordstau brings enormous amounts of snow in the northern Alps. It is not seldom that this kind of weather system, which are causing these snowfalls, build up above the North Sea. They bring wind and waves to the coastlines and oftentimes heavy rains over Germany before the white gold will start to fall in the Alps. To use wind, waves and snow equally- that is the ambitious goal of the pro freeskier Felix Wiemers. An adventure in the ice-cold waters of north Denmark and the snowy Austrian mountains awaits.”
