An early-season snow storm sprinkled high elevations across the American west with snow over the weekend. Big Sky reported up to 6″, resorts across the Rockies reported accumulation, and some parts of the PNW saw significant storm totals.

Mt. Bachelor received a few inches at high elevations which forced the resort to temporarily suspend its bike park operations. News Channel 21 was on the scene to capture some clips of the accumulation, and report how the resort is looking to round out the summer season.

It’s probably not ideal to get skunked out of a day in the bike park by snow, but hopefully all of those would-be riders are also skiers or snowboarders and are getting jazzed up winter. It won’t be long before lifts start spinning for snow sports, and it honestly can’t come soon enough!
