I don’t control how my brain works, and therefore I’m at its mercy when I see a picture of a new avalanche rescue puppy. I can’t help but to post something about these pups, and although there’s not much of a story per se, I guarantee seeing this puppy’s picture will make your day better.

There’s just something so pure about working dogs that save skiers and snowboarders lives in dire situations. I just want to give them all the treats and pats on the head that I can.

Someday, mark my words, I will be a ski patroller with my very own avalanche rescue dog. I’m going to speak it into existence and allow the thousands of you that read my blogs to hold me accountable. Don’t let me let myself down.

Anyways, congrats to Arapahoe Basin Ski Patrol Supervisor Tim Walsh on his new avalanche puppy Penny! I’m sure she’ll be the goodest of girls for years to come up at The Legend!
