Won’t give away what happens in this kayaking clip from the Ryan river outside of Pemberton B.C. but let’s just say probably won’t expect how it ends. Avoid reading the description of events below until after watching the video. This had my heart in my throat:

Dan Sutherland: ”We were paddling on the Ryan river outside of Pemberton B.C, i decided to film the second lap and after a slight miscommunication i was starting the camera on the tripod when i saw Archie (Archer) paddling through the shot on the drone tilting up the camera just in time to watch him disappear under the rock where he remained out of site for the next 50 seconds before crawling out where you’d least expect it, with no injuries and spirits still high it was about as lucky as it gets!”
Archer McLeay: “It was lap two. we’d scouted the line a lot more this lap and we’re feeling super stoked. At water level I misjudged the drop by about 3 ft to the right, and went straight into an undercut I didn’t think was remotely in play. I quickly realized there was no way to roll up and after swimming crawled my way through the undercut spotting air and light at the back of the cave. Turns out the air was an exit and from there I stood up straight onto the bank. Since then, I’ve ran it a bit more to the left”
