Muffy Davis with her three gold medals from the 2012 Paralympic Games

Muffy Davis’ story is one of pain, redemption, and glory.

She was born in Sun Valley, Idaho in 1972, destined to be a skier. Unfortunately, tragedy struck when she was just 16 years old. She broke her back and was paralyzed from the waist down, but that didn’t stop her from competing. Davis went on to learn how to adaptive ski and won a bronze medal in slalom in 1998, three silver medals in 2002, and 3 gold medals in hand cycling in 2012.
