Big changes are coming to Banff Sunshine Village in Alberta, Canada. On Thursday, Banff Sunshine Village revealed its plans for future improvements, which include a new lift and the construction of a day lodge. Further details and a fully fleshed-out long-range plan document and website will be released later this summer. A long public commenting process will follow the official release of the long-range plan. All long-range projects will be attempted to be completed by the 2026-27 season. The immediate plans for improvement include:

  • A new chairlift on Goats Eye Mountain(Goats Eye 2). New tree skiing will be gladded between the existing runs.
  • Increased chair capacity on the TeePee Town chairlift.
  • A new day lodge at the top of the Wolverine and Jackrabbit chairlifts(Wolverine Day Lodge).
  • Converting their non-temporary Covid-19 facilities to non-temporary commercial space.
