Compelling case for Olympic surfing competitions to be held on manmade waves by the folks over at Surf Lakes. Surf Lakes uses concentric swells to create up to 5 levels of waves simultaneously, which would provide a variety of conditions for athletes to display their skills. I could imagine a quidditch style arena with raised spectator seating surrounding the entire wavepool.
