The infamous $10,000 treasure buried by an Instagram family looking for internet clout has finally been found after nearly three weeks after it was buried.
The chest was found on Heughs Canyon Trail just north of the entrance to Big Cottonwood Canyon.
Okay, maybe I’m being a little pessimistic about this whole thing. I guess the treasure hunt did get people outside, but the due who buried it literally said he was doing it because “it was badass”.
That sounds like internet clout chasing if I’ve ever heard it, but I’m happy for the guy’s family who found the money. I hope they have a great time in Disneyland!
