I don’t need to explain anything about aviation for you to know that 99.99% of planes require a runway to land, but the internet has served up a beauty for us today.

This single-engine prop plane was able to practically land vertically due to an extreme headwind in what appears to be a river bed in a mountainous region, maybe Alaska?

The pilot was able to touch the plane down with such precision that the guy filming didn’t even have to move as the plane approached.

Really dumb idea that I know couldn’t actually work: Why doesn’t the US Airforce develop the world’s biggest fan to blow wind like 1000mph at jets landing on aircraft carriers? 😆
