Cannon Mountain in Franconia, New Hampshire reopened its 72 person aerial tramway on Friday for the first time since March of 2020. The tram goes under Tramway and DJ’s Tramline, one of the most challenging trails on the East Coast that is basically a series of cliffs. Once at the top, you get a gorgeous view of the adjacent Franconia Notch State Park and Echo Lake. The Flume George and Echo Lake also reopened this past weekend, but a rainy overcast made going out less than ideal.

Cannon Mountain, located in Franconia Notch State Park, was open this past winter for skiing and riding. Due to Covid restrictions and fears of infection in an indoor lift though, the aerial tram did not run during the winter season. The tramway was also shut down last summer due to Covid concerns.
