Watching a professional downhill mountain biker take a competition lap can be nothing short of mesmerizing. It’s almost supernatural observing how deftly they weave corners, scrub jumps and pick the perfect line through extremely technical situations. Obviously they had years of practice, the benefit of sponsorships and best gear money can buy but how does an average joe at the trailhead stack up against the world’s finest?
