If you think it’s rare that Vail and Beaver Creek have uniformed Cops on the slopes, it is. Vail and Beaver Creek are just about the only ski areas in the country to have police supervising the slopes.

One-of-a-kind patrols have been a fixture at Eagle County ski areas for 16 years, though loss of lift privileges may be the biggest incentive for safe behavior.
