Tragic news out of Colorado where the body of a 32-year-old Carbondale man was found Thursday afternoon in hazardous backcountry terrain near Snowmass ski area. CBS4 reports David Cross went snowboarding at Snowmass on Tuesday and was reported missing later that day. Crews at at the resort conducted searches for Cross on Thursday morning and found a ski track that lead to an out-of-bounds area called West Willow. Cross’s body was eventually found but because of concerns over the steep and dangerous terrain, crews decided to wait until Friday to recover his body. Our hearts go out to his family and friends.
