World Cup Racer Airlifted From Giant Slalom Course After Nasty Knockout

Very scary moment on course at a World Cup giant slalom event on Saturday in Adelboden, Switzerland where American skier Tommy Ford was medevaced after a brutal fall. Ford crashed a gate towards the bottom of the course and lost consciousness at speed. He actually tookout a person next to the finish line before coming to a stop close to safety nets beside the finish. He was laid out face down in the snow but soon regained consciousness before getting helicoptered out. Happy to report US Ski Team said his “head and neck injuries are minor and resolving nicely. He has a knee injury that is undergoing further evaluation.” Get well soon buddy, that was a nasty one:
