American skier Tommy Ford was airlifted to a hospital after a scary crash in the Giant Slalom at Adelboden over the weekend.

Ford is reported to have broken his leg, and suffered minor head and neck injuries. The US Ski Team said the head and neck injuries are ‘resolving nicely’, but the American star is expected to miss the rest of the season.

Ford started with the #4 bib at the race. The American had been on a recent tear with top-10 finishes in each of his last four races.

We hope Tommy has a speedy recovery, such a bummer.
