Looks like Japan is back to business after a lower-than-average season last year. The ski areas in the Myoko region have totaled a whopping 311cm (122″) in the last 7 days according to Snow-Forecast.

While the storm is most likely making for some classic JaPOW conditions, it wrecked havoc on motorists. Over 1,000 people were stuck in their cars for up to 40 hours due to the heavy snowfall.

If only we could get to Japan this season, but alas COVID-19 prevents us from traveling. Guess we’ll have to wait ’til next year and hope that the pow keeps on falling.
