*NOTE: THIS POST WAS EDITED AT 2:45PM ET. KILLINGTON IS NOT OPENING FOR SKIING OR RIDING ON 11/5/20. THE RESORT HAS A PROJECTED OPENING SET FOR 11/14/20.*

In an effort to ensure safety during the 2020-2021 season, Killington will launch a parking reservation system starting on Thursday, Nov. 5.

Here’s a statement from Killington on why the system is being implemented:

“As part of Operation Stay Safe Killington is implementing an online parking reservation system to help us ensure the wellbeing of all through the careful management of the number of people at the resort at any given time. This means whether you’re a season pass holder coming for a few powder-day laps or a family looking to enjoy a day on snow together, you will need to let us know you’re coming. This means when you plan a trip to Killington, you are going to have a great experience – you know you will have a spot to park and plenty of room to spread out on the mountain. You can begin booking reservations from this page at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 5. Subscribe to receive a text alert reminder when reservations are open by texting BEAST to 64600 or click here.”

More information about how many days can be reserved:

“You can make two types of parking reservations: advanced days and weekly reservations. You can book up to seven advance days throughout the season at Killington. Once the season begins, you will also be able to book an unlimited amount of days in the rolling 7-calendar day window. Once one of the seven advance reservation days falls within the rolling 7-calendar day window, an additional reservation in the future past the rolling 7-calendar day window is allowed as long as you never hold more than seven advance reservation days at any one time. Our goal is to allow pass holders to ski and ride on the days they wish. Check back often for additional inventory.”
