You can learn to stand on a board and move slowly at almost any age with the right guidance, but learning tricks or riding ramps can be lifetime pursuit. The feeling of freedom and control you get simply riding from point A to point B is the core enjoyment we glean from skating. But some of us prefer to take it further, regardless of age, traditions or stereotypes. Like Mr Kinoshita, who recently learned to drop in at age 81 (with the help of some cables?!).
