North America’s lone ski resort operating in summers only is open for business. Beartooth Basin, located about 85 miles from Cody, WY fired up its pair of surface lifts on Monday and will be open for the foreseeable future. The Cody Enterprise reports the bare-bones operation pushed back its opening date by two weeks amid the COVID-19 pandemic but are spinning the two poma lifts for Wyoming skiers and snowboarders.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

  • Face covering (buff, scarf, mask), gloves and eyewear must be worn at all times in congested areas. This includes upper lot headquarters and lift lines.

  • Maintain appropriate physical distancing (6 feet) between visitors from outside your group.

  • Please don’t attend our facilities if you are sick or have known recent exposure to Covid-19 cases.

  • Our only public spaces (2 portapotties) will be bleached / sanitized every hour of operation.

  • We are limiting our ski hill to 80 riders /day, plus scheduled teams. Season Pass holders will always have preference, otherwise show up early!
