Breckenridge Considering Closing Main Street To Cars Allowing For Outdoor Dining/Pedestrian Traffic

As the nation reshuffles the deck to get things back to normal while minimizing risk, new traffic plans like this one in Breck are looking more and more attractive to local businesses. The Breckenridge Reopening Committee is considering closing Main Street to cars to increase space for outdoor commerce and provide ample room for pedestrians. Michelle Kilduff from the Canteen Restaurant pointed out that indoor seating in town is tight and the plan could help alleviate challenges faced by Breckenridge businesses. This idea has been around for years but the current social distancing protocols might be the nudge it takes to get it over the line. Thoughts?
