Roger Sands writing for forbes.com has created a list of what he feels are the best ski resorts in North America that are 1,000′ of vert or less. It’s a pretty good list, but there are a few we would have added (Mount Bohemia, Little Switzerland). 

The vast majority of ski areas fall somewhere in between and attract skiers to their slopes by providing varied terrain for all ability levels. Regardless of vertical feet, each distinct ski area offers its own personal brand of fun. Here are six of the very best ski areas throughout North America at 1,000 vertical feet or less.
