Dave McCoy, the founder of Mammoth Mountain, CA has died at the age of 104. Dave founded Mammoth Mountain in 1942 and operated the ski resort for 68 years. At 22 Dave became the California State skiing champion.
Rusty Gregory, former chief executive at Mammoth Mountain, told the LA Times McCoy “died peacefully in his sleep” at his home in Bishop, California, on Saturday.
