“They have to go through on every inch of every lift to get it ice-free before it can start spinning.”

This video comes to us from the good folks at Mount Snow in Vermont but the process is the same at resorts around the world. Getting a lift to spin after it’s been coated in a layer of ice is not for the weary. I hope this POV video of how it’s done gives you a better appreciation for the work your local lift mechanics do on a daily basis. Don’t be shy the next time you see them at the bar, buy them a beer and show them some gratitude. Unsung heroes.
