According to TheKnow, Keystone has requested that The U.S. Forest Service allow it to build a chair lift that grants skiers and boarders access to the Bergman and Erickson bowls.

The bowls are currently only accessible via hike or Keystone’s snow-cat service. If approved, it will be Keystone’s first new lift-serviced terrain expansion since 1991.

This is kind of a no-brainer, right? I’ve always wondered why Keystone didn’t have a lift up to those bowls. I’m sure the hikers will be upset, but I’m assuming most of them go to other resorts anyways.

Shout out Jonathan Buckhouse for this sick video of the terrain at Bergman Bowl.
