“Covering every aspect of living and working in a ski resort, as well as the heart-warming, but often traumatic incidents which happen daily.”

Too bad we live on this side of the pond or watching Ski A&E would be a simple as flipping on the TV. This new series out of the UK has me wishing for an American counterpart to follow the hardworking ski patrollers that keep us safe while out on the hill. All you Hollywood types take note!

“This exciting new series marks the first time British TV has had exclusive access to the brave men and women of the rescue and medical teams in the French Alps. We follow them battling extreme conditions, facing snowstorms, whiteouts and the threat of avalanches, as they deal with the many accidents and medical emergencies which inevitably happen on the slopes. Narrated by Vick Hope, the series also looks at everyday life in the mountains – from the lift operators who keep skiers on the slopes, to the dozens of British seasonaires who work the resort’s bars, clubs and hotels. Covering every aspect of living and working in a ski resort, as well as the heart-warming, but often traumatic incidents which happen daily in Ski A&E.”

Here’s a clip from the show where Val Thorens ski patrol help a guest with a broken collar bone…not sure of the best way to watch this outside of the UK but where there is a will there is a way:
