Silver Star Mountain Resort, located just outside Vernon, BC, has been purchased by Utah based POWDR.  NEWS 1130 reports ownership started immediately but the previous owner of Silver Star, Jane Cann, will still hold on to some development land.

If you already bought a season pass to Silver Star and are worried about what the change in ownership will mean to your privileges, you can relax. Silver Star says there are no changes to those passes, or to operations.

POWDR has other resorts in California, Colorado, Vermont, and Oregon. Silver Star is POWDR’s first resort in Canada.

December 3, 2019 – SilverStar is pleased to share that today, POWDR, an adventure lifestyle company with destinations across North America, announced it has acquired SilverStar Mountain Resort.

POWDR, an adventure lifestyle company with destinations across North America, announced it has acquired SilverStar Mountain Resort and will assume operations effective immediately. SilverStar is POWDR’s first mountain resort in Canada.

There are no changes to 2019/20 season passes, current operations or the reciprocal agreements with other resorts. With the recent snow, a great opening weekend complete with our annual light up celebration that sets the scene for what promises to be another phenomenal season, and today’s exciting news, SilverStar Mountain Resort is well-positioned to be the best version of itself for years to come.
