Interesting retrospective on Ski California’s 50 year history. Started in 1969 as the Sierra Ski Area Association, the group was focused on tramway safety order issues, the challenges of mountain roads and the accuracy of snow reports.  These days the organization goes by Ski California and they are still going strong with monitoring existing and proposed legislation to ensure that national and state legislators hear and consider the ski industry perspective on issues affecting mountain communities and businesses. If you ski the Sierras and want a bit of inside baseball you will enjoy this:
