As reported by SFGate- a Spanish endurance athlete successfully paddled his way from San Francisco to Honolulu. Antonio de la Rosa completed the >2,900 mile journey in 76 days.

De la Rosa embarked on the voyage to raise awareness about ocean pollution. His 24 ft. stand-up paddle board has a front hatch used for sleeping, and back hatch for provision storage. De la Rosa fought Pacific winds and currently for over a month to reach his destination.
