Gear Junkie reported about The Colorado Department of Transportation’s (CDOT) new initiative to provide round-trip shuttle buses from Denver to popular ski resorts for just $25.

The program will start in December. Buses will run on weekends and major holidays (Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, MLK, President’s Day). A-Basin and Loveland will debut as the first trial resorts on the route, it is reported that Copper Mountain has also expressed interest.

The routes will fall under CDOT’s Bustang, and will also run a route from Denver to Estes Park to transport riders to Rocky Mountain National Park.

This is big news for Denver and Front Range locals. Everyone knows too well of the congestion that builds up on I-70 during the winter. Hopefully Bustang will alleviate some traffic and make access to Summit County a little less frustrating.
