Look at this fantastic image by photographer Chase Dekker in Monterrey Bay.

“While the humpbacks were lunge feeding on a school of anchovies, a sea lion apparently didn’t jump out of the way fast enough and got trapped inside the whale’s mouth,” Dekker said in his post.

Thankful for the sea lion he managed to escape as the whale went back down into the water.

I’ve never seen anything like this before, and I doubt it’ll ever be captured again. National Geographic eat you’re heart out!
