Friendly reminder to maintain a proper distance from wildlife in Colorado and elsewhere. This dude lost his commonsense while staring down the lens of his camera and laughed off what could have been a serious situation.

We all want to catch glimpses of wildlife in its natural habitat but close is too close? The National Park Service advises to stay at least 75 feet (23 meters) or about two bus-lengths away from all wildlife and advise keeping at least 120 feet (36 meters) or about three bus-lengths away from black bears, moose, and mountain lions. Also a rule of thumb never assume you are the one that can get away with a close encounter:
