“Tried Figl yesterday, was fun, sort of.”

This video of a couple enjoying the sport of Figl by jumping into a steeply walled gully with a rushing torrent of heavy wet snow at the bottom had disaster written all over it but thankfully they were okay. Not sure if this is standard Figl practice or extraordinarily dumb. Do not attempt this if you see a similar feature.

***Figl is short for firngleiter or “firn glider.” Firn is German for corn snow. The sport is popular in the Tirol area.
