“At approximately noon on Thursday, March 21, a male skier voluntarily jumped from a chairlift at Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) and was transported by CBMR Ski Patrol to the Gunnison Valley Health Mountain Clinic for minor injuries. Crested Butte Mountain Resort places the highest emphasis on guest safety, and reminds skiers and riders to observe all posted signs when utilizing chairlifts.”
Some 21 year old dummy jumped off Silver Queen chairlift as it was going over the Hot Rocks area and ended up with some facial injuries and knocking out some teeth. No word if ski patrol provided a cold glass of milk to preserve the tooth. The identity of the Crested Butte jumper has not been released but if you see someone in town with fresh gaps in their grill you might be on the trail.
