The snowboarder who was caught in an inbounds avalanche at SilverStar Mountain Resort last week remains in the hospital with a serious list of injuries including a dislocated femur, broken ankle, multiple broken ribs, broken jaw, collapsed lung, multiple bruises and cuts, a deep laceration to the throat, and more.

Global News reports longtime Venom Snowboard Shop employee, Nathan Fisher, was snowboarding with a friend at the time of the accident. Nathan was dragged into the trees by the slide:

“We were all shocked. It is not something you expect, for sure. Nathan was snowboarding when an avalanche let loose behind him, which ended up catching and dragging him through the trees. Nathan suffered some serious injuries but, fortunately enough, suffered no brain or spinal injuries.” -Coworker & Friend Cameron Soransen

His friends set up a GoFundMe page to help with medical expenses and the donations have been pouring in. If you would like to contribute GO HERE:

Hello Friends and Family,

As many of you have already heard Nathan Fisher was in a snowboarding accident on Wed,  March 20th.
Nathan was snowboarding when an avalanche let loose behind him which ended up catching and dragging him through the trees.
The slide beat up Nate pretty bad, leaving him with a dislocated femur, broken ankle, multiple broken ribs, broken jaw, multiple bruises and cuts, a deep laceration to the throat, and more.

Nathan suffered some serious injuries but fortunately enough he suffered no brain or spinal injuries.  He still has a long way to go for recovery, and i believe we can all help.

If you have ever had the pleasure to be in Nates presence you will understand why so many people are concerned for his well being.

Nathan is the most caring, loving, friendly human you will ever encounter. He is constantly looking out for others and trying to make everyone else’s lives better. He stays positive in all situations and is the best human to be around!

He has been through mental and physical trauma and we would love for him to come home without any financial trauma.

So if he’s your friend, family, riding partner, or just that super friendly  guy you met at Attridge, please Like, Share and Tell others about this post.

Thank you all in advance. I will try to keep everyone updated as he progresses.
All the Love for NATHAN FISHER!!!images from GoFundMe
