Who better to host a mass celebration of holy matrimony than Loveland Ski Area. The Colorado ski resort welcomed 80 couples to participate in the 28th Annual Mountaintop Matrimony. Congratulations to all the happy couples!

I hope they had this song on repeat all afternoon. Cheers to high altitude loving:

If you’re interested in REgistering next year’s Wedding read this description of the 2018 event and free up some time around February 14th 2020 (remember to wear thermals under your formal wear):

Thank you for your interest in Loveland Ski Area’s 28th Annual Marry Me & Ski For Free Mountaintop Matrimony. The Mountaintop Matrimony is one of Loveland’s most popular events of the year and we look forward to your participation.

The Mountaintop Matrimony is for couples getting married or renewing their vows and takes place at 12pm sharp outside the Ptarmigan Roost Cabin, elevation 12,050 feet. The Ptarmigan Roost Cabin is located at the top of the Ptarmigan Lift at Loveland Basin. Couples are required to sign-in the morning of the event and are asked to be at the Ptarmigan Roost Cabin by 11:30am. The chairlift ride is approximately 12 minutes.

PARTICIPANTS AND GUESTS MUST BE ABLE TO RIDE THE LIFT UP TO THE TOP AND THEN SKI OR SNOWBOARD DOWN THE HILL IN ORDER TO ATTEND THE CEREMONY. THERE WILL BE NO TRANSPORTATION UP OR DOWN THE MOUNTAIN FOR NON-SKIERS/SNOWBOARDERS.

The ceremony is a “mass wedding” done for all couples at the same time and lasts approximately 30 minutes. At the conclusion of the ceremony, all participants and guests will ski or snowboard down the mountain for a casual after party with cake, music and prizes. The runs leading back to the base area from this point are beginner and intermediate. The after party will start at 1:30pm at the base of Loveland Basin.

Participating couples that preregister (link below) will be eligible for the 2-for-1 lift tickets the day of the event, a total of $79. Preregistered couples will also be eligible to purchase lunch vouchers for $13 with a $15 value. Wedding cake, raffle tickets and beer coupons will be provided complimentary for preregistered couples. Preregistration ends on February 12, 2019.

Guests are NOT eligible for the 2-for-1 ticket offer. Individual lift tickets will be $79 the day of the event. Guests will be eligible to purchase a lunch package for $18 including an $15 lunch voucher, 2 beer coupons and wedding cake at the after party. These packages will be available for purchase at morning check in.

Couples getting married are required to obtain a valid Colorado Marriage License and need to bring it with them to the ceremony to be signed. Click Here for Clear Creek County marriage license information.

Couples are encouraged to dress in appropriate “ski-wedding” attire as there will be a prize for the best dressed couple. Please keep in mind that The Ptarmigan Roost Cabin is located at 12,050 feet and that dressing warmly is important even on a sunny day. The wedding will not be rescheduled because of snow or cold weather, so be prepared.
