A trio of skiers are dead after they triggered an avalanche inside a closed area of the Beldersay ski area located in the the Western Tian Shen mountains of Uzbekistan.
According to Pakistan Today, the three were found submerged underneath the snow surface at approximately 7pm. They triggered the slide shortly after entering a zone that had been roped off due to its high avalanche risk. Beldersay is one of Uzebekistan’s premiere ski areas and hosts some 2.5 thousand feet of vertical drop.
