Unofficial Networks was founded by two brothers, Tim and John Konrad, in Squaw Valley, CA in the fall of 2006. The original website, UnofficialSquaw.com, provided daily mountain condition reports as well as news, weather forecasts, videos, and entertainment for local skiers and snowboarders.
In 2010, UnofficialNetworks.com was launched to cover the global ski scene with the rollout of local reporters in ski towns across North America. Since that time, the website has recorded nearly 100 million sessions and has been linked to by numerous publications including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The San Francisco Chronicle, and ESPN.
It is a website where people go to escape, be entertained, gather information, learn about ski destinations, and stay abreast of the latest mountain news.
The goal of UnofficialNetworks.com is to use our mix of user-submitted content, curated content and original content to separate the signal from the noise providing our followers with the best mountain entertainment on the web in one simple and easy to use website.
