By no way is this the first USB rechargeable headlamp to hit the market but the battery placement on the BioLite’s new headlamp ($49) promises to give a balanced weight distribution for a featherlight feel that will make you forget you’re even wearing it:

“By relocating the power source to the back, our fit solves the classic slippage problem. Headlamps are generally worn at a slight angle, with the light in the upper position. If you put all the weight where the light is, itโ€™s going to seek equilibrium which means a slow and constant slip downward (annoying). By keeping the front super light and minimal and moving those grams to the back of your head, BioLite HeadLamp embraces a gravity-friendly design that feels nearly weightless when you put it on.”

Pretty novel and neat. Regardless if this postย  the BioLite Headlamp is already a smash success on Kickstarter raisingย $303,332 in less than 48 hours…far exceeding itsย $40,000ย threshold for going into production.ย  Congratulations on another hit product BioLite!
