By no way is this the first USB rechargeable headlamp to hit the market but the battery placement on the BioLite’s new headlamp ($49) promises to give a balanced weight distribution for a featherlight feel that will make you forget you’re even wearing it:

If you put all the weight where the light is, it’s going to seek equilibrium which means a slow and constant slip downward (annoying). Pretty novel and neat. Regardless if this post the BioLite Headlamp is already a smash success on Kickstarter raising $303,332 in less than 48 hours…far exceeding its $40,000 threshold for going into production. Congratulations on another hit product BioLite!
