$3,000 worth of rescue gear was stolen from an Alpine Rescue Team volunteer and we need your help getting it back. Denver 7 reports Chris Silkwood discovered the window on his truck was smashed out Wednesday morning when he was heading out to take his daughter to school.  The gear has sentimental value to Chris but whats worse is he can’t work until he gets replacement gear or his stuff is returned and its high season for rescues:

“On a typical week, especially in summer, we can have four to five calls, sometimes multiple calls in a day. There are times you find yourself out all night, sometimes for multiple days, so being prepared is key.”

ITEMS STOLEN:

  • backpack
  • team jackets
  • technical climbing gear
  • ropes
  • mountaineering boots
  • glasses
  • head lamps
  • climbing helmet
  • ice axe

If you have information that might help Chris get his gear back please do the right thing.  Also if you come across any of the item on Craigslist or anywhere else you might find resale gear please alert the authorities.
