The series, available on Netflix and RedBullTV since June, follows a crack team of mountain rescue personnel with Air Zermatt as they navigate a typical season in the high-alpine Valhalla that is the Mattertal.

The Horn features first responders tackling everything from inbounds ACL tears to off-piste crevasse rescues. Some of the more emotional moments come during reunions between rescuer and rescued. If ever there’s a documentary to officially usher in the golden age of the GoPro, The Horn is it. Viewers get unprecedented access as they accompany Air Zermatt employees everywhere, from the mess hall to the pilot’s seat.

Come for the frosty fix you’ll get from aerial shots of the Matterhorn up close, adrenaline-riddled rescues by über-talented alpinists, and gear setups that would make any gear head lose their composure.

Stay for heartfelt reflections from the men who put their lives on the line every day to keep safe those who recreate in the mountain playground they call home.

The cinematography alone will have you researching a Swiss vacation before series’ end and if you ever find yourself in a situation that requires rescue, better hope these guys come get you…

The six-part series was produced by Red Bull TV and originally released worldwide on October 17, 2016. So if winter still seems a long way off, lay back and let the boys of Air Zermatt prescribe something to keep you on the level until winter returns.
