Heads up, Marker just issued a voluntary safety recall of all 2017-2018 Kingpin models because “the pin in the toe part can break under rare circumstances. This can result in reduced release/retention and leads to fall hazard.”

***If you have a pair or know a friend who does make sure share this and GO HERE to follow recall instructions.

VOLUNTARY SAFETY RECALL

(July 2018) This voluntary Recall is limited to 2017-2018 Kingpin models. Sales of some models of recalled bindings began in 2017 and some in 2018. Only the toe part of the bindings needs to be replaced.

These bindings are being recalled because the Pin in the toe part can break under rare circumstances. This can result in reduced release/retention and leads to fall hazard.

Affected are all Kingpin models with a new Marker Logo on the toe part and a golden or copper colour.

If you have a pair of these bindings this is Marker advises this:

Check with Marker or your Marker Authorized Retailer for details.
Stop using these bindings and return them to a Marker Authorized Retailer to determine if they are covered by this recall.

Toe pieces of recalled bindings will be replaced at no charge.
Skiers should bring their boots to be sure their bindings are adjusted correctly for their boots.
