Very interesting Indiegogo project that has raised $856,554 and counting after passing its initial funding goal of $75K.

My only concern for our audience is how this device might effect avalanche beacons while in the backcountry? They specifically advertise use of the device while skiing but no mention of its compatibility with use of avalanche transceivers.

Can anyone shed some light on how the use of long-range, low power radio frequencies might effect avalanche beacon signals?

Long-range location tracking that’s dead simple to use. Find friends & kids in crowds, remote areas, at festivals, or anywhere under open sky.

* Works Globally

* Private & Secure

* No Monthly Fees, Phones or ANY Connectivity

“The only tracker that makes it incredibly simple to locate everyone in your group at the push of a button when nothing else will.”

Beyond skiing applications, these little trackers could be super useful in a ton of situations from music festivals to walking your dog in the woods.  Definitely worth a closer look HERE.
