The sun in shining, the trails are dry, and some psychopath is stringing barbed wire across a popular mountain biking trail. It’s a tale that’s become disturbingly commonplace on this website in recent years.

According to Post City Toronto, John Lobraico claims to have biked into a strand of barbed wire that was maliciously strung across a trail north of the city’s center in Don River Valley Park. He also claims there were razor blades on part of the trail.
“Based on the fact that I had to unwrap/untie the wire from the tree leads me to believe that it was put there intentionally, not just by accident. The trail is used by many of the public not just cyclists, it’s crazy to think what could have happened if it were a family hiking or a class field trip. I don’t want the story to just reflect my injuries but the impact it could have on the local trail system and the people who use them.” – John Lobraico, Mountain Biker
Other hikers allegedly saw the barbed wire as well and asked Lobraico about it after his encounter.
