Site of an avalanche fatality near Mt Leidy on 4/22/18

An avalanche killed a 24 year-old snowmobiler on Wyoming’s Togwotee Pass yesterday.

The victim was reportedly riding in a steep area (36-40°) in the Mt Leidy zone when the wet slab released. The snowmobiler was accompanied by others at the time of the avalanche, none of whom were equipped with proper avalanche safety equipment.
