It might seem dead obvious but it doesn’t hurt to show how a backcountry legend like Jeremy Jones lets his crew know about sluff danger mid-line…by yelling! Just a friendly reminder that if you see something happening you need to be as loud as possible without a moment’s hesitation and also why its not recommended to wear earphones in the backcountry:

Nick Russell was getting ready to enter a chute that was questionable while I watched a sluff gain momentum toward it. Hence the aggressive yelling. Nick was already pulled out to an island of safety before the sluff barrelled through the chute.”
