Having served as the home of Warren Miller for close to 20 years, it’s only appropriate that Warren Miller Day be held at the Colorado ski resort that supported his brand so much throughout the years.

Miller’s son Kurt is putting on the ‘Warren Miller Day’ this Saturday in conjunction with Vail Resorts reports the Vail Daily. Kurt also wants people to know that this event should be viewed more as a celebration than memorial. The shindig will take place at Mid-Vail with Sarge’s Shelter BBQ playing old Warren Miller flicks.
“I chose Vail to do our family celebration because that’s where my dad lived for 20 years, but also because Vail, in the very beginning, helped put my dad on the map and helped us so tremendously to grow the company.” – Kurt Miller (*Quote courtesy of the Vail Daily)
Food and drink will be served throughout the party. When the festivities wrap up, those attending will ski down to the base in honor of the late, great filmmaker. Rest in peace Warren!
