Digging out after 17 feet of snow fell during the month of March | Photo (+Cover): Mammoth Mountain

When Mammoth Mountain gets 17 feet of snow in single month, employing the term #MiracleMarch is completely appropriate.

Without a doubt, this March will go down as the biggest since 1991 reports the Tahoe Daily Tribine. That year, the month of March started with a 50″ dump that seemed to continue through the entire month.

On the high-end of the snow spectrum, Mammoth (*202″) and Squaw (*228″) both reported over 17 FEET this month alone.

This year, the same has been true as 3 separate atmospheric river events slammed into the mountains of California, delivering well over 100″ to most high elevations. Expect more of the same this week as another Atmospheric River event will bring us into April with anywhere between 2-4 feet of fresh above 7k.
